What is... CanCon? Michael Cera and Simu Liu are among the celebs that will appear as contestants on ABC's Celebrity Jeopardy! this fall.
The stars of Greta Gerwig's upcoming, endlessly memeable live-action Barbie movie were clearly first on Jeopardy!'s list — and while Ryan Gosling was probably otherwise occupied, they managed to nab his fellow Canadians.
If you're somehow unaware, Toronto's Liu has made the leap from stock photo modelling to Marvel, while Brampton's Cera notably portrays some awkward guy or another in maybe 40 percent (give or take) of movies made in the last 15 years.
Host Mayim Bialik will also challenge Patton Oswalt (King of Queens), B.J. Novak (The Office), Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), Constance Wu (Fresh Off the Boat), comedian Iliza Shlesinger, Aisha Tyler (Criminal Minds) and the WNBA's Candace Parker to answer her riddles three (a.k.a. the mysterious contents of the iconic six-by-five game board) on primetime [via TVLine].
The beautiful people will compete for a chance to win cash money, to be donated to a charity of their choice (since the famous famously love philanthropy).
"It's the OG Jeopardy, with celebrities," Bialik said in a preview clip posted by Entertainment Weekly. "Let's hope they've been reading more than screenplays."
Celebrity Jeopardy! premieres September 25 at 8 p.m ET.
