Childish Gambino's 'Guava Island' Film Will Stream on Amazon Prime for Free

Childish Gambino is set to premiere Guava Island at Coachella this weekend, but if you're not at the festival or watching the livestream, you can still check out the new film project — for free on Amazon Prime.

The streaming service is offering the Donald Glover and Rihanna-staring film for free worldwide on April 13 at 12:01 a.m. PDT.

You don't even have to be an Amazon Prime member to watch the film. It will be available for free, subscription-free for 18 hours. Amazon Prime subscribers will still be able to stream it on-demand anytime beyond that window.

It will also be screening at Coachella this weekend.

As previously reported, Guava Island is directed by "This Is America" mastermind Hiro Murai. It was shot in Cuba and is described on IMDb as a "tropical thriller" that follows a musician as he tries to pull off a get-rich-quick scheme.

In addition to Glover and Rihanna, the film also stars Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie.

It's unclear yet if the film will feature all new music from Childish Gambino, but he has been teasing it on Spotify, and Atlanta cinematographer Christian Sprenger had the project listed on his resumé as a "visual album" — though it has since been removed.
