Burger King Is Selling Upside Down Whoppers to Promote 'Stranger Things'

We already knew there was a Stranger Things revival of New Coke, but now you can make your whole meal correspond with the Netflix show at Burger King. Yes, the fast-food joint will be selling "Upside Down Whoppers" to celebrate the upcoming third season.

The burger itself is literally just a regular Whopper flipped the other way around, and it's going for $5 USD at participating locations in cities including Miami, Houston, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.

Of course, it's an homage to the alternate universe in Stranger Things, known as "the Upside Down."

To further celebrate the arrival of the third season — which is set in the summer of 1985 — the Upside Down Whopper combo will be served with fries and Coke in the chain's original 1980s packaging.

The participating locations will also have branded T-shirts and ketchup packets on hand.

As previously reported, the third season of Stranger Things arrives on Netflix on July 4. The episode titles were just revealed.
