Alec Baldwin has filed a lawsuit against a man who claims the actor punched him in the face over a parking spot last year.
On Friday (November 1), the actor lawyered up to dispute Wojciech Cieszkowski's claims that he was punched, stating in the suit that his accuser "wants a fortune to remedy his supposed injuries from that 'assault.' Yet the doctors who saw him immediately after the incident thought he needed, at most, one dose of Tylenol."
Baldwin maintains that he did not punch the man, but he does admit to pushing him.
The lawsuit goes on to allege that Cieszkowski has exaggerated his injuries. Baldwin alleges that he himself has suffered damages from the "defamatory" accusations.
"When two New Yorkers get into an argument over a parking space, typically what happens is they exchange a few sharp words and then move on with their lives. But that is not what happened here," the lawsuit reads. "Cieszkowski has instead made up a false story about the encounter and refused to move on unless Baldwin succumbs to his extortionate demands."
Cieszkowski and Baldwin got into a dispute over a parking space back in 2018 — an incident that Cieszkowski claims ended in assault. Earlier this year, Baldwin plead guilty to harassment charges after initially denying any wrongdoing.
The actor has maintained since the incident that he never punched Cieszkowski, stating earlier this year, "The assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false. I wanted to go on the record stating as much."
