John Mulaney has dropped some serious life updates on us since getting sober, including the fact that he and his new partner Olivia Munn are expecting a child.
The comedian broke the news on Late Night with Seth Meyers, telling the host that after coming out of two stints of rehab this spring — one with the help of an intervention by Meyers, Fred Armisen and others — he had started dating Munn, who got pregnant earlier this year.
"I went to rehab in September, I got out in October, I moved out of my home from my ex-wife, I host Saturday Night Live on Halloween," Mulaney recounted. "I relapse on drugs after the show, not directly after. I just mean, well after goodnights… I'm told I took a job here…"
He continued: "I went to rehab again, this time for two months. I got out in February. I lived in sober living for another month and a half. The insurrection happened on January 6th, but I had nothing to do with that."
Mulaney then detailed his newfound relationship with Munn, who he credits with helping to "save [him] from [himself] and this early journey out of recovery."
He added: "I got into this relationship that's been really beautiful with someone incredible who has dealt with the non-coked-up Bambi version of me and that's been very incredible. She's kind of held my hand through that hell and we are having a baby together… I'm going to be a dad."
