You Can Now Buy Concert Tickets on TikTok

Ticketmaster has partnered with the clock app

It seems as though TikTok finds another way to corner the music market on a near-weekly basis. While its music streaming service is still in the works, the social media platform has just made it possible to buy concert tickets in-app.

Musicians will soon be able to link tickets for upcoming shows to their TikTok content by using the Ticketmaster function under the "add a link" section. The link — which appears underneath the creator's handle on their video — will lead users to Ticketmaster's website via TikTok's browser to complete payment.

Ticketmaster has said it wants to interact with music fans directly through the apps they use most often [via Hypebeast], and with TikTok filing for the rights to trademark "TikTok Music" as we speak, it was only a matter of time until the music and ticket powerhouses partnered up.

Right now, only a few creators have access to the ticketing function — including Demi Lovato, OneRepublic, Usher and the Backstreet Boys. WWE fans are also in luck, as TikTok has also granted them access to Ticketmaster's latest addition to the app.

If Bruce Springsteen ever makes a TikTok account, let's hope he knows better than to advertise his $5,000 concert tickets there.
