Whitehorse

"My Babe" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 30, 2015

Earlier this year, bluesy roots duo Whitehorse delivered a new album titled Leave No Bridge Unburned, and they're already set to follow it up with another EP, due out early in the new year on Six Shooter Records. The first taste of what's to come on The Northern South arrives with a video for a brand new version of "My Babe" — and Exclaim! has got the exclusive premiere.

The upcoming EP hears Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland offering up a fresh take on the electric blues of the 1950s, taking "a twelve-bar trip through a collection of chart-toppers that built rock'n'roll one sneakin' cheatin' no good man at a time."

"My Babe" song was originally penned by Willie Dixon and made famous by renowned harmonica player Little Walter. The new clip from Whitehorse, meanwhile, finds Doucet and McClelland in the studio at Revolution Recording in Toronto, giving fans insight into the pair's creative process.

You can see the duo lay down the blues-rock scorcher in the new video for "My Babe" right now.  Just scroll past the band's upcoming live dates and hit play to give it a watch.
