Wavelength co-founder Jonny Dovercourt is a firm believer that playful punk rock'n'roll will never die, and Danger Bay is another spirited notch in his artistic trajectory. Like his great work in Republic of Safety, Dovercourt played crunchy guitar riffs and shouted lyrics out like a hyperactive cheerleader during the band's WL set, while his mates in Danger Bay pounded out the thrashing rhythms to their still-fresh songs. Vocalist Deirdre O'Sullivan seemed kind of unassuming until she began wailing lyrics, cutting through the noise with arresting electricity.
