Ryan Adams just revealed plans for his next album, Prisoner, and to help spread the word, the prolific songsmith stopped by Lil BUB's talk show today (December 7).
The celebrity cat and fellow musician welcomed Adams to set via a kitty-sized TV screen, then proceeded to ask him about the upcoming record.
As Adams goes deep and reflects on "what it means to be a prisoner of your own desire," the cat host licks and scratches herself. BUB even gets a listen to lead single "Do You Still Love Me?" though it's a little difficult to discern what she thinks of the tune from adorable facial expressions alone.
Adams also talks about accepting his "sad" sound, and walks BUB and viewers through some super tiny "sniplets" of the new material.
And just when you think it couldn't get any more adorable, the two take some time to watch and talk about Adams's own cats. That leads to the pair bonding over both being "emotionally spayed," followed by Adams writing a song on the spot for his new feline friend.
Take it all in in the player below.
As previously reported, Prisoner is due out February 17 through Pax Am/Blue Note/Capitol.
