Rosalía has shared the previously-teased video for her new Weeknd-featuring single "La Fama."
The Director X-helmed video takes place in a glittering theatre club hosted by Danny Trejo, where patrons snort diamonds and the Weeknd hangs out in a beanie — Rosalía plays the titular La Fama, who lures the Weeknd onstage before dispatching him.
In a press release about the single, Rosalía said: "I wanted to write, in my own way, a bachata with a little story around ambition. Taking as a reference the lyrics of Ruben Blades or Patti Smith and the songs of Aventura, I ended up writing a story of romance with fame."
"La Fama" is the first official taste of Rosalía's upcoming third album Motomami. No other details about the record have surfaced, though it's expected to arrive sometime in 2022.
