In the midst of their massive world tour, Wet Leg are due to play Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom tomorrow (August 25), marking the end of their Canadian tour dates for the year. While they're in town, the band met up with Nardwuar in the depths of Neptoon Records for a chat.
Rhian Teasdale, Hester Chambers, Henry Holmes and Ellis Durand met the Nard on his turf (synth player Josh Omead Mobaraki is still missing in action following a passport mishap), and were immediately showered with gifts of various vinyl records, a Velvet Underground poster/postcard, a magazine and other music memorabilia.
Interviewing the band, Nardwuard asked about their donkey sanctuary pal, Archie Baby; Isle of Wight's festivals, venues and dialects; Teasdale's various jobs, including suiting up in a furry theme-park costume and once being a golf caddy; Holmes's winter surfing; the accidental inception of "Chaise Longue" and much more.
