Kesha releases her colourfully titled latest LP Rainbow tomorrow (August 11), and she appeared on CBS This Morning today (August 10) to open up about her journey thus far.
For the show's "Note to Self" segment, Kesha penned a letter to her younger self and read it on camera. Throughout the emotional delivery, she addresses her battles with anxiety and eating disorders, and talks about hiding behind a tough party girl persona.
Ultimately, she tells her younger self that she will gain confidence and meet many kids that struggle with similar issues but find comfort in her music — teaching her that "art can heal people."
Kesha wraps up by reminiscing about her meeting with personal hero Bob Dylan, then previews the title track from her upcoming album.
