Last week (August 4), Jack Black announced that Tenacious D have made "Jack Gray" a reality by recording with Jack White at Third Man Records. Now, we're getting a behind-the-scenes peek at just what that looks like from a video aptly titled "Jack Gray" posted to Jack Black's YouTube channel.
The video (shared on August 10) shows Jack Black, Kyle Glass and their touring band behind the scenes for their Lollapalooza performance, cracking jokes with Perry Farrell, eating pizza, and getting up to their usual slapstick shenanigans. Later the band head to Nashville, TN, for their own solo show.
In between the performances, we find the band meeting up with Jack White at Third Man Records, where they're taken on the grand tour.
The band later go to White's home to record new music. Unfortunately, there is no footage from inside the house. The details behind this "Jack Gray" collaboration will just have to remain a mystery for now.
