Jack White has posted a teaser video containing a clip of new music — although it's unclear if this is a way to hype up a new album, or simply another snippet that he's going to delete.
On Instagram this morning, White shared a progression of crunchy power chords. It appears to be a full production, rather than simply a casual jam — there is some nifty panning between channels, as well as accompaniment that includes drums, bass and organ.
The accompanying image matches the blue colour scheme that White has used for all his solo work, as it shows what appears to be a patch of dirt with a blue filter over the lens.
This is the kind of thing most artists post as a way to hype up a new release, except White previously shared a bluesy riff featuring the same artwork back on New Year's Eve. At that point, he deleted the post soon after without announcing anything. It remains to be seen whether he'll announce anything this time.
His most recent albums were 2022's Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive.
