Watch a Fan Rap with Cordae at the Calgary Stampede

"Get your ass on stage"

When you bring a sign to concerts asking to perform on stage, you probably never expect to actually get up there, right? Well, whether he was expecting to or not, a fan at Cordae's Calgary Stampede show was put to the test this weekend.

When the rapper launched into his hit track "RNP," he noticed a sign in the crowd asking to rap Anderson .Paak's verse. Cordae immediately told his DJ to cut the music and jumped down to have the fan perform a small back-and-forth portion of the song with him.

The fan, identified as University of Calgary student Dylan McMahon, has since clarified that he's not a rapper. But, after successfully getting through two bars of the song, Cordae deemed him rapper enough, shouting: "Get your ass on stage!"

McMahon leapt the barrier (with some awkward, honeymoon-style assistance) and made his way up to the stage, where he found himself about to rap in front of thousands of people.

Thankfully, he crushed it, helping Cordae set the venue ablaze to close out the night.

Watch McMahon put on the performance of his lifetime below.
