Need a reason to check out Venomous Concept? Here are four: Kevin Sharp, Dan Lilker, Shane Embury and Danny Herrera.

These legendary Brutal Truth/Napalm Death members, along with Corrupt Moral Altar's John Cook, come together to form Venomous Concept (a play on the moniker of iconic punk act Poison Idea). Melding grind, hardcore and punk with the most intense grooves, the supergroup offer up their third full-length, Kick Me Silly - VC III as the follow-up to 2008's Poisoned Apple and 2004's Retroactive Abortion.

The new album is composed of 20 blistering, breakneck tracks; Kick Me Silly is extremely fast, raw and visceral throughout, showcasing Venomous Concept's penchant for old school grindcore immersed in angst-driven, corrosive punk, featuring just enough heavy, catchy rhythms to make it memorable. It's not groundbreaking stuff, it really doesn't need to be; Kick Me Silly - VC III is an enjoyable, bang-your-head-until-you-get-whiplash listening experience.
