Here's a neat concept for a music video from the brain of Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty: take a bunch of hip, cool and/or otherwise vital indie artists and stick them in a building that's about to be demolished to play one song live off the floor with no audience and see what you get. In the case of the first in what is billed as a series, you get some pretty remarkable and entirely unique sights and sounds. Lending their skills to the inaugural effort are such indie icons as Bob Mould and Ted Leo performing solo, weird-pop practitioners Medications and Q and Not U, and the Evens (Ian Mackaye's White Stripes-like side project) all performing at a secluded house in DC. Cool in more ways than one. (Trixie, www.trixiedvd.com)
