Vancouver Island's Rock the Shores Fest Gets City and Colour, Metric, Eagles of Death Metal

Colwood, BC's Rock the Shores event has returned for a fifth year, and organizers have now revealed the staked lineup that will grace the Vancouver Island festival.

Touted as "the biggest rock event of the summer on Vancouver Island," this year's Rock the Shores runs July 22 to 24 at West Shore Parks and Recreation's lower fields. Among the artists, set to headline the event are City and Colour, Eagles of Death Metal, Metric, Arkells, the New Pornographers, Cat Empire, July Talk, Big Wreck, Yukon Blonde, Royal Tusk, Dear Rouge and the Motorleague.

The fest will also open with the "Seven Mile Social" showcase, which will feature "Vancouver Island's biggest and finest homegrown talent" on July 22, with performances on tap from Current Swell, Jesse Roper, Jon and Roy, Towers and Trees and more.

A three-day general admission pass will run you $165, plus service charges, but you can also buy tickets for the individual days. The "Seven Mile Social" is priced at just $25, while entry into Rock the Shores on either Saturday or Sunday will cost $65.
