We were starting to think that Tyler, the Creator's hooligan days were becoming a thing of the past, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Today (March 15) the Odd Future kingpin was arrested in Austin for starting a riot at SXSW.
As TMZ reports, Austin police had a warrant for Tyler's arrest and took him into custody at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport this afternoon. According to police, the rapper "encouraged behaviour causing an immediate danger and injury to persons" at his SXSW show on Thursday (March 13).
Below, you can watch footage of the riot at Scoot Inn, where you can hear Tyler leading a chant of "push, push, push" and encouraging the hundreds of festivalgoers outside to storm the venue. Once inside, apparently things got pretty ugly, according to various reports, and the venue soon cut the sound. However, Tyler was eventually allowed to finish his set.
As of press time, Tyler is reportedly still in custody on a $3,500 U.S. bond.
