Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One recently teamed up to release their self-titled debut LP as Tuxedo, and now album cut "Right Time" has been given the remix treatment by Montreal-based production wiz Kaytranada.
The already soul-centric track gets an extra injection of funk courtesy of the Canadian producer, who reworks the song into a space-age sounding dancefloor-ready number. Mixing seamlessly with the array of synthesized sounds, the infectious live drums come courtesy of special guests BADBADNOTGOOD — adding some additional Cancon and a lot of extra groove.
Tuxedo is out now via Stones Throw Records. Give Kaytranada's remix of "Right Time" a listen below.
