Toronto's David Trusz and Johanne Williams have revived their 2000s and 2010s project Sissy — which produced the excellent 2006 album All Under — for a third album, the follow-up to 2012's March of the Humans.
The record — tentatively titled Hunters — remains shrouded in mystery for now, but is previewed by "Sentinels," the duo's first new song since 2020's "Own the World."
A familiar liminal quality rings throughout the track's five minutes, with Williams's arpeggiated, discordant vocals tracing Trusz's eerie production. "Sentinels" arrives alongside a haunted black-and-white video of seemingly machine learning-influenced imagery directed and edited by Trusz.
You can watch that below while we await more information about the forthcoming album.
