In celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, Toronto's Manifesto Festival has mapped out a week-long lineup of events anchored by the Block Party, a day of live music headlined by Aminé and Saukrates.

Presented in partnership with The Block, CBC Music's weekday radio show focused on music of Black origin, the Block Party takes place August 11 at RBC Echo Beach, with Aminé and Saukrates each headlining a respective event stage.

Fresh off his acclaimed KAYTRAMINÉ team-up with Kaytranada, Aminé tops the bill of the MNFSTO Sounds Stage, which will also be graced by Toronto's Kuruza collective, Montreal-via-St. Vincent upstart Skiifall, SadBoi, Liza, No Tourists, EB3N and Eleanor.

Over on the Block Stage, rap vet and certified All Canadian North Star Saukrates sits atop a lineup showcasing some of Canada's best and brightest, including T.O. staples Keysha Freshh, Phoenix Pagliacci and Clairmont The Second, Calgary-via-South London spitter Temia and P.E.I.'s Vince the Messenger.

The MNFSTO Sounds Stage and the Block Stage will be hosted by The Relentless Diaries podcast trio and CBC Music's Angeline Tetteh-Wayoe, respectively.

Tickets for the Block Party are available to the general public Thursday (June 15) at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster, following CBC Music, Manifesto and Live Nation presales opening tomorrow (June 14).
