With the crowd a bit shaken after a very angry Xiu Xiu set, Software's newest beat maniac Thug Entrancer provided a nice shift into the latter part of the night. Things got delayed due to lighting and sound issues, but once the show got underway, Thug Entrancer lit up the room with some oddball house tracks, accompanied by raining 2-D visuals that got the crowd juking and bopping as the weirdo producers slowly opened the window to his multiverse of altered dance music.
However, a lack of connection with the crowd made it hard to really delve deep into the sounds. After a while, crowd response started to dwindle, with some people almost completely zoned out (and not in the good way). Thug Entrancer is no doubt one of the most engaging new producers out right now, but somewhere in his cinematic set, things took a sharp left, and slowly faded into the ether.
