Halifax's This Sound Will Save You are gearing up to release their debut EP, A Place to Start, digitally on October 16 through Popguru Sound & Vision. Now, the electronic-tinged pop trio are previewing their upcoming short-player with a video for the song "Sacrifice."
Directed by Derek Smith, the clip shows singer Chloe Kirston-Jones laying back in a stream while clutching flowers in a funeral-like pose. This is intercut with solemn-looking clips of the band performing the song and some slightly gruesome images of a bloody-looking bath. As for the song, it's a moody pop number with vocals that evoke the drama of Kate Bush.
This Sound Will Save You will perform at the the New Palace for Halifax Pop Explosion on October 20, and they plan to release the full-length Let the Night Lead You in February. The collection was laid down at Toronto's Revolution Recording and at the band's home studio in Halifax.
For now, check out the video for "Sacrifice" below.
