Halifax electronic pop trio This Sound Will Save You made themselves known last year with the EP A Place to Start, and now they've followed it up with their debut full-length. Let the Night Lead You drops today (May 14) through Popguru, and it's available to stream in full right now.
The band's emotive tunes bear traces of vintage 1980s electro-pop, particularly thanks to Chloe Jones' vocals, which channel the dark drama of Kate Bush on the single "Sacrifice." Other songs take a slightly softer, subtler approach, with highlights including the bouncy "Wherever I Go" and "Face the Fire."
Despite the retro bent of the performances, the production is distinctly modern and is made up glossy synths and full-bodied dance rhythms.
Check it all out for yourself below.
