Taylor Swift Gives Surprise Performance at Bluebird Café in Nashville

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 2, 2018

Despite gearing up for a massive stadium tour in support of Reputation, Taylor Swift returned to her small-crowd singer-songwriter roots on Saturday night (March 31) in Nashville.

The singer made an unannounced appearance onstage at the Bluebird Café, joining Craig Wiseman and performing stripped-down versions of her hits "Shake It Off" and "Love Story," as well as the Swift-penned Little Big Town hit "Better Man."

She reportedly garnered a standing ovation from the approximately 40 audience members in attendance.

As the Tennessean reports, Swift and Wiseman reminisced about their long history together, from shooting Fire Ball whiskey at CMT afterparties to Wiseman rejecting her initial idea for "Love Story."

See some first-hand accounts and video footage from the unexpected intimate show below.

Apparently the old Taylor isn't so dead, after all.
