Adorable, witty, talented and from Halifax, Tanya Davis played a gorgeous set of low-key jazzy confessional poetic folk to a woefully under attended Cameron House. The level of honesty in her lyrics was charming, shocking and hilarious but in no way undermined the adventurous dexterity of her beautiful guitar playing. A few pieces were poems rhythmically delivered over guitar phrases and others were lead by heart-tugging melodies. Part way through the performance, Ms. Davis was joined by a fellow who played bass with one hand while using a brush on his hard shell case for percussion with the other. Awesome.
