Swing Cats

The Swing Cats feature ex-Stray Cats Slim Jim Phantom and Lee Rocker and you'd think these guys are probably just trying to jump on the swing bandwagon here. But, this isn't a swing release (thank goodness)! It's more along the lines of the hillbilly ‘60s rock we got from the Stray Cats. Sure, there is the occasional horn, but that's all. On the disc they do mostly covers from Gershwin and Goodman to Carl Perkins and Hank Williams. Some tracks were a tad sappy but all in all not a bad disc!
