Starflyer 59

Old

Starflyer 59 is the kind of band that, in a rational but not quite ideal world, would replace Treble Charger as a staple of rock radio, however, after ten years of existence, their palatable pop still hasn’t managed to break through. Pity, since their lazy, Brit-worship comes across like a stripped-down Spiritualized imitating T. Rex, an ambitious premise that falters at times, but ultimately results in more hits than misses. Top marks for the confident waltz of "Loved Ones” and "The Lights On,” which are far too sexy for their Christian-rock record label. Oh don’t worry, Starflyer 59 rock secularly.
