Slayer Sign with Nuclear Blast, Share New Song

Slayer may be American thrash metal legends, but they're no longer on the American Recordings roster. Instead, the group have just inked a new deal with Nuclear Blast.

The group released seven proper studio albums with Rick Rubin's American imprint, but have now switched teams over to Nuclear Blast, where the band will run their own label imprint.

"Rick has played a huge role in our career, we've made some great albums with him," Slayer's Tom Araya said in a press release. "But today is a new day, record companies don't play the kind of role they once did, and we really like the idea of going out on our own, connecting directly with our fans, and Nuclear Blast is fired up about taking on that challenge with us."

Slayer will enter the studio later this year to record a new album for an early 2015 release. In the meantime, they've shared a new song called "Implode." You can stream it below or download it here.
