In 2012, former Dog Day frontman Seth Smith offered up his first full-length film with Lowlife, a low-budget horror flick that will one day stand as a Canadian cult classic. He's yet to announce a proper follow-up, but he's just shared an arresting short.
Called OVIII, the film serves as a trailer for the upcoming eighth edition of OBEY Convention. Shot in a 4:3 aspect ratio, the clip opens with an old man knocking on a round window, as if he's trying to escape. Once he spots the viewer, he stares deep into your soul as he repeats how good it is to see you. The unnerving video is set to Last Lizard's "Detroit."
Whether it makes you want to hide under your covers forever or actually venture out to OBEY Convention (which runs from May 21 to 24) is yet to be seen, but either way you should certainly watch OVIII below.
