It was announced back in March that the Weeknd — after previously voicing characters on Robot Chicken and American Dad — would be joining the big leagues with an appearance on The Simpsons.
His character was described as a "child skate-wear influencer" named Orion Hughes, and now you can check out clips from the episode, which aired last night (March 20).
In the episode, Hughes owns a streetwear brand called Slipreme, which is a very obvious parody of Supreme. He also seems at least partially based on Jaden Smith, as his dad (also voiced by the Weeknd) is a famous movie star. According to Lisa, he's also the author of a "critically-maligned book of poetry."
The whole episode is basically a parody of streetwear culture, influencer culture, and rich-kid nepotism culture, all of which are pretty ripe for parody.
Check out some clips from the episode below.
