See Donald Glover and Maya Erskine in the First Trailer for 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' Series

Last month, it was confirmed that Donald Glover and Maya Erskine would be starring in a Mr. & Mrs. Smith series (based on the 2005 movie starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, which was also the beginning of Brangelina as we knew it), and now, we get to see the first trailer.

Part of why the original Mr. and Mrs. Smith worked back in 2005 was because of the megawatt star power and serious chemistry of its combined leads, so it'll be interesting to see if Glover and Erskine can pull off a similar frisson — after watching PEN15, I'm convinced that Erskine can do just about anything.  

The basic idea of the series is pretty similar to the OG movie, though the movie had Pitt and Jolie play a married couple who worked for competing assassin agencies, unbeknownst to each other. The series seems to have Glover and Erskine working together — I guess we'll find out! 

The show premieres on February 2, 2024. Glover created the series with the Atlanta writer Francesca Sloane.
