Scarlett Jane isn't a person, but a duo of young women (Cindy Doire and Andrea Ramolo) and their debut album is a strong, confident foray into the Canadian music scene. Opening track "Wild Fire" is as perfect a single as one could write; it's catchy, up-tempo, sexy and filled with passion. "Never Be Found" is a sweet little ballad that showcases the musicians' guitar abilities. The production on Stranger is a lovely accent to the strength of their songwriting, which is no surprise considering Stew Crookes, who has previously worked with Hawksley Workman, Doug Paisley and Justin Rutledge, also worked on this album. "Oh Darling" is an instant classic while closer "Burning Up" is hauntingly beautiful. According to their press release, Scarlett Jane will be aggressively touring this album throughout the year, thus I highly advise you take the time to check them out. They have a promising career ahead of them.
