Toronto's Savannah Ré has announced her sophomore EP No Weapons, and she's previewing it with the fantastical video for new single "About U."

The video was co-directed by Ré and Alex P. Smith, and finds Ré wandering a hazy, otherworldly realm of overgrown plants that eventually attempt to envelop her. The song itself is a warm pool of R&B, co-written with Marcus Semaj and featuring production from YogiTheProducer and Jack Rochon.

Last year was a massive one for Ré, who took home the first-ever JUNO award for Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year, and received a nomination for the Polaris Music Prize, two Prism Prize nominations, a SOCAN Songwriting Prize nomination, and the Slaight Music Emerging Songwriter Award nomination.

No Weapons will be the follow-up to 2020's Opia EP. That year, Exclaim! sat down to chat with Ré about finding her voice as an artist and her burgeoning stardom.

In 2021, Ré shared the single "24hrs." Check out the "About U" video below.
