Sandro Perri

"Love and Light" (video)

BY Philip James de VriesPublished Oct 5, 2011

Prolific Toronto-based musician Sandro Perri has released a new video for his track "Love and Light" from his forthcoming album Impossible Spaces.

Perri -- who has released under a number of collaborative albums under the guises of Glissandro 70, Polmo Polpo and Dot Wiggin, to name a few -- takes a non-linear, experimental visual approach to the video, a style of music video that seems to be growing in popularity among non-mainstream musicians.

"Love and Light" is an experimental folk track that is well suited to the scrolling animations and 8mm shots of the video. The quick, abstract style of the clip is similar to that of Scottish-Canadian animation innovator Norman McLaren, although Perri's video is slightly more organic in its content.

As previously reported, Perri has several Canadian tour dates lined up. You can see the schedule here.

Impossible Spaces is due out October 18 via Constellation.
