Ryan Gosling's Barbie song "I'm Just Ken" (which was written and produced by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt) was nominated for a Grammy today, but the Gosling train continues rolling with the news that the Canadian actor is being honoured with the 16th Annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film, presented by the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

The award, which benefits Santa Barbara International Film Festival's year-round educational programs, will be presented on Saturday, January 13, at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara. It's the second Kirk Douglas award to be given since Douglas himself died.

"Ryan Gosling has long been both a dramatic and comedic force in front of the camera," said Executive Director Roger Darling. "This year, thanks to his universally hailed, triumphant performance as Ken in Barbie — a film that truly demanded the attention of critics and moviegoers around the world — he has become a true cinematic powerhouse."

Gosling's been doing his multi-threat thing for a while now (Dead Man's Bones, anyone?), but he's arguably never been more famous or front-of-mind than he is after the record-breaking success of Barbie. He's been nominated for two Academy Awards for Half Nelson and La La Land, plus four Golden Globe nominations and one win for his role as Sebastian in La La Land

He's racked up a ton of accolades and goodwill over his decades-long career, though his highest high may still be his time as a Mousketeer — hopefully, they mention it on the big night.
