Rotting Christ have shared a surprise EP of songs previously only available as physical bonus tracks. The Apocryphal Spells, Vol. I is out now via Century Media, and to celebrate the release, the band have mapped out a North American tour with Carach Angren, Uada and Gaerea in early 2023.
Vocalist-guitarist Sakis Tolis said of the release in a statement:
My dear friends, I can proudly announce a compilation of rare Rotting Christ tracks that have never been released on digital platforms before. We have now the opportunity to release them via the first part of a compilation: The Apocryphal Spells. Thanks for your attention, and I hope you will enjoy them, as we also did, recording them back in the days. Spirit Up!
The bands kick off their North American trek in Houston on February 16, moving their wait through much of the southern US and West Coast before dipping their toes north of the border in Vancouver on the 25th. From there, they'll head back stateside, working their way through the Midwest, and eventually, back into Canada for shows in Toronto and Montreal, on March 5 and 7, respectively. The trek wraps up in Orlando mid-month.
