British Columbia songwriter Rosie June has found a fan in Brendan Canning, since the Broken Social Scene member recently signed June to his Draper Street Records to reissue her album Listening Post. That reissue features a few remixes, including a Young Galaxy version of "Sound It Out," which you can now stream online.
This remix, which was previously only available in a download package, reduces some of the pillowy-ness of June's electro pop. Her vocals are still as hazily tender as ever, but the synthetic pulse highlights blippy arpeggiators over swooning softness.
