Even though this was the first time in many years since a newly reformed Rockets Red Glare graced a stage in Halifax, they admitted that it would also likely be the last. The room surged forward to witness the Toronto three-piece's math rock/post-hardcore attack, and it was clear the band haven't missed a beat since garnering the praise they once had for their vigorous live shows. The set was taut, spirited, heavy and engrossing, and the crowd was tightly wrapped up in the intensity. It further proved that live venues lost a great force when these guys decided to call it quits. Hopefully, it's only temporary again.
