While most people point to the ever-delayed Madvillainy 2 as a particularly frustrating delayed release, Madlib's alter-ego Quasimoto has also remained uncharacteristically quiet on a follow-up to 2005's squeaky-voiced masterpiece The Further Adventures of Lord Quas. That might change soon, however, as the artist is reportedly gearing up to drop a new album.
Taking to Instagram, the artist shared the above photo of a test press for a new LP called Yessir Whatever. While that's not a lot to go on, the rumours circulating around the web suggest that the album might be dropped as soon as June of this year. Let's hope the test press sounds good.
If it does come out this year, Yessir Whatever will most likely be released via Madlib and Quasimoto's long time home at Stones Throw. Stay tuned for more information on the release if and when it becomes available.
