While it's been hinted that Pusha T has a new Gangsta Grillz mixtape on the way, what the artist actually needs is a grill (singular) — or a culinary class, at minimum — based on some unsavoury snaps of his home cooking.
Yes, even the self-proclaimed "L. Ron Hubbard of the cupboard" — who has told listeners plenty about his acquaintance with stoves, kitchen tools and the techniques required to use them — has room to improve, evidenced by some light roasting from his wife, Virginia Williams, on this Valentine's Day.
To mark the occasion, Williams shared a screenshot of a text message thread between herself and Pusha (who is lovingly named "TERRY" in her phone), writing, "sorry I wasn't home to cook your steak."
Study the conversation, and Williams' instruction on how to pan fry a steak on the stovetop includes all the pertinent details: "add oil or butter," "see if [the pan] is hot enough," "cook a little longer" based on your cut.
In life, there are men who can't (or won't) take direction, and there are other men who find themselves utterly hapless when it comes to feeding themselves while their partner is away. Clearly, the only thing they have in common with Pusha T is unshakable confidence, something we won't fault the artist for when considering this mis-steak.
Feast your eyes on Pusha's reply with a picture of the finished product: it's less well-done, and more "YUUGH." This piece of meat has more cuts than the diamonds in his jewellery. Discerning carnivores would probably find it "Untouchable." The only things "Grindin'" will be his teeth come dinnertime. We are so clearly past being able to say It's Almost Dry, and are fully into "Scrape It Off" territory.
If your beau happens to burn up the Valentine's Day dinner this evening, consider that they're probably taking after a Virginia Beach legend who taught us, if nothing else, that it's Darkest Before Dawn. Treasure them, and their developing culinary skill. Reposting his kitchen nightmare for all to see, Pusha quipped, "I did good tho right??"
