Hailing from Baie Sainte-Marie, NS, Jonah Richard Guimond — a.k.a. P'tit Belliveau — has another dispatch from the East coast francophone scene: he's announced the release of his sophomore album, Un homme et son piano.

Due April 1 via Bonsound, the record marks the follow-up to the Exclaim! New Faves alum's 2020 debut Greatest Hits Vol. 1 — from which "Income Tax" earned him a 2021 SOCAN Songwriting Prize nomination.

Across the LP's 12 self-produced tracks, the Acadian singer-songwriter mirrors his wide range of influences, drawing from country and bluegrass as much as he does Japanese city-pop and '90s video game music. P'tit Belliveau tempers his equal impulses toward "hyper-digital" and "super organic" sounds.

Nowhere is this more evident than on new single "Demain," a last-minute addition to the Un homme et son piano tracklist and the last song penned for the record.

Balancing hip-hop flow, folk textures and doo-wop background vocals, the eclectic tune was first introduced to the world during a livestream on Twitch — Guimond's platform of choice for sharing his latest musical experiments.
