News that Protest the Hero were at work on a new album was more exciting than scary in leading off 2023, but as the Ontario heavy favourites now share, things will become nothing short of frightening this fall on a North American tour.
Alongside Moon Tooth and the Callous Daoboys, Protest the Hero will play 25 shows on the continent between October and November on the Halloween Is for Always Tour.
Vocalist Rody Walker shares in an accompanying video that not only will the band don costumes each night to celebrate spooky season, but they're inviting audiences to do the same, with a Best Dressed prize going to someone in attendance each evening.
Seven shows are set for Canada, beginning with a western swing through Winnipeg's Park Theatre (October 17), Edmonton's Starlite Room (October 19), Calgary's Palace Theatre (October 20) and Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre (October 22).
The bands then come back to Canada to wrap the tour with shows at Montreal's Studio TD (November 16) and Toronto's History (November 17), with the latter date also featuring Covet. You can find the complete itinerary below.
Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday (May 5) at 10 a.m. local time, with complete information available at the tour's official website.
Earlier this year, we asked Protest the Hero guitarist Luke Hoskin to pick his favourite riff of all time. Until details of that new album arrive, the band's most recent release remains 2020's Palimpsest.
