Before Prophets of Rage wreck your speakers with the funk, rock and hip-hop sounds of their forthcoming debut EP, the political supergroup are streaming out one of their live tracks. The band have unveiled their update of early Beastie Boys number "No Sleep Till Brooklyn," which is redubbed "No Sleep Till Cleveland."
The concert-recorded cut was officially premiered today (August 18) through Zane Lowe's Beats 1 program, and finds onetime Rage Against the Machine members Tim Commerford, Tom Morello and drummer Brad Wilk bashing out the familiar Beasties melody. Injecting even more old-school flavour into the track is Chuck D, who adds a few bars from his Public Enemy's "Fight the Power" into the mix.
You can check out the genre-jamming live track below, while the band's The Party's Over comes out on August 26.
