Pop Winds

Pop Winds is Kyle Bennett, Austin Milne and Devon Welsh, and together they are yet another Arbutus Records offspring. Their synths, drum machines and guitars were in fine form as they played murky, psych pop, and if you listened real close you could hear people in the crowd repeatedly confess things like, "I love this one!" Needless to say, it's clear these guys are doing something right. Though some found it daunting to play a venue like the Rialto, Pop Winds hardly seemed to notice; they were too wrapped up in the intricate and idiosyncratic sounds they architect And based on the crowd's rapt attention, it's clear that Pop Winds definitely don't blow.
