In an impressive display of pony-related synergy, Toronto grunge pop project PONY now appears as part of the voice cast of a new My Little Pony series.
PONY leader Sam Bielanski voices the character of Jazz on Tell Your Tale, a My Little Pony series rolling out weekly episodes on YouTube. Bielanski also sings the theme song, and sings in some episodes as well. Tell Your Tale is available to watch here.
It's a perfect fit, as Bielanski has a well-documented affinity for TV: PONY's 2021 album was titled TV Baby, and they cohost the podcast 2 Much TV.
Bielanski isn't the first Canadian musician to join My Little Pony's voice cast. Hey Ocean! singer Ashleigh Ball has voiced various characters for the show.
