Good Lord! The good people of Clearwater, MB and those who traveled in from all corners of the Keystone province for Harvest Moon's Saturday night Main Stage bonanza got a healthy helping of something special when Pegger's Banquet took the stage. While ostensibly just a Rolling Stones cover band made up of some of Winnipeg's finest musicians, including Greg MacPherson as Charlie Watts and Matt Magura (Magnificent 7s) as a spot-on Keith Richards, Pegger's Banquet take the tribute act game to a whole new level thanks, in no small part, to the transcendent all-in performance of Cory Bellhouse as Mick Jagger.

Drawing mostly from the Stones' classic, raunchy '70s catalogue, and featuring back-up singers, a number of special appearances from "Bobby Keys," and multiple costume changes, Pegger's Banquet rocked the cold, wet crowd with classic jams like "Street Fightin' Man," "Rocks Off" and "Some Girls." Bellhouse's jiving, preening, careening Jagger was something else, while the whole crew put on an inspired performance. This crew doesn't assemble often, but when they do, it's not something you want to miss in good conscience.
