Osheaga Gets the Flaming Lips, Eminem, Death Cab for Cutie for 2011 Fest

We already knew that this year's Osheaga would be one to remember. The Montreal music festival revealed last month that it would feature performances by Eels and the newly reunited Death From Above 1979. Now, the event organizers have unveiled more of the performers who will be coming to Parc Jean-Drapeau from July 29 to 31.

The lineup so far is nothing short of staggering, as Osheaga has roped in big-name headliners the Flaming Lips, Eminem, Elvis Costello & the Imposters, the Tragically Hip and Death Cab for Cutie.

Looking down the lengthy list of performers on the festival website, you will also see (deep breath): Kid Cudi, Bright Eyes, Sam Roberts Band, Beirut, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Jamie XX (from the XX), the Mountain Goats, Twin Shadow, Smith Westerns, Hey Rosetta!, Tokyo Police Club, Ratatat, Malajube, Karkwa, City and Colour, Crystal Castles, John Butler Trio, Shad, MSTRKRFT, Bran Van 3000, Fucked Up, PS I Love You, Suuns, Mother Mother and the Luyas.

You may also notice that the festival has added a third day, as it was originally booked for only the 30 and 31. Looking at the stacked lineup, it's no mystery as to why.

Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday (April 15) at noon. Standard early bird passes cost $197.50, while reversed seating tickets will go for $349.50. Once the early bird passes run out, standard tickets will cost $217.50, with reversed seating going for $369.50. You will also be able to buy two-day passes (on sale April 21) and single-day tickets. There's no word as to when these single-day tickets will be available, but keep checking back to this website.
