OFF! are taking the piss out of the idea of superheroes in a truly golden new video clip behind their upcoming Wasted Years' "Hypnotized."
Directed by Chris Grismer (Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Death From Above 1979), the video first puts on display the morning routine of a broken hero, played by Jesus Lizard frontman David Yow, before he hops into costume. Once garbed up as some sort of caped flag-waver, he heads to the Hollywood strip to pose for pictures with lil' patriots.
A rival puts an end to the good vibes, though, once he starts a turf war. Let's just say that the hulking figure, played by TSOL's Jack Grisham, isn't showering his fellow hero with praise here.
